Let’s unwind some pages from history and take you back to the night of September 6th, 1965.
It was late at nighttime when the Pakistani public was sleeping peacefully at home, only to be jolted awake by an uninformed attack from a neighboring country, India. That fateful night in 1965, Indian forces launched an unexpected assault. They believed they could conquer Pakistan. But, as they say, a man sleeps at night, but a soldier never! Our Pakistani forces were wide awake. The Pakistani armed forces, outnumbered and outgunned, displayed extraordinary courage and determination. Whether it was MM Alam or Sipahi Maqbool Hussain, each soldier stood shoulder to shoulder and defended and proved their every to defend their homeland. MM Alam, in particular, etched his name in history by achieving a milestone—shooting down five Indian fighter planes in less than a minute, a record that earned him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
