Islamabad, January 2025 – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Development Working Party (DWP) has announced four transformative projects during its 71st meeting. This bold step aims to modernize Islamabad and enhance its appeal as a global capital. Chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the meeting included officials from various ministries, who collectively discussed strategies to improve the city’s infrastructure and global reputation.

Key Projects Apprved by CDA

1. Beautification of Constitution Avenue

To begin with, the CDA has allocated Rs. 490.082 million for the beautification and upgradation of Constitution Avenue. This prominent region houses dynamic government buildings such as the Aiwan-e-Saddar, Prime Minister’s Office, and Parliament House.

The main objective is to improve the avenue’s appearance and usability while making sure it complements Islamabad’s position as a center of governance.

3. Feasibility Study for 5-Star Hotels

Moreover, the CDA aims to position Islamabad as a premier destination for tourism, diplomacy, and business by initiating a feasibility study for five-star hotels.
