Islamabad: Chairman CDA called a crucial meeting at which Member Administration, Member Engineering, and other senior executives were also invited. A review of the ongoing beautification drive in Islamabad and the enhancement of the Jinnah Convention Center (JCC) in anticipation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference were discussed during the meeting.

The Jinnah Convention Center is undergoing major renovations, and the city is being improved. The Chairman CDA was updated about these preparations. He was given an overview of the main projects, which included pedestrian bridges, underpasses, overhead bridges, and interchanges as well as their aesthetic repair and improvement. In addition, major highways are being maintained and repaired to guarantee efficient traffic all over the international event.
The meeting also included an update on the current horticultural and landscaping projects near the Convention Center, as well as along green median strips and green belts on Islamabad’s main avenues. To finish these objectives, the Chairman directed the CDA field teams to work continuously. Additionally, Chairman CDA was informed that horticulture and gardening will improve the Center’s surroundings. He examined the installation of cutting-edge technology, including digital boards, SMD screens, and sophisticated conferencing systems. To guarantee seamless operations throughout the SCO, additional features including contemporary lighting, a cutting-edge sound system, an interpretation system, and high-speed internet access have been assessed.
