Islamabad, November 2024 – The Kuri Model Village in Islamabad is being developed in collaboration with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Defence Housing Authority (DHA). The goal of this collaboration is to develop 10,000 kanals in Zone IV into a thoughtfully designed residential neighborhood with contemporary conveniences for an expanding urban population. This collaborative initiative was recently approved by the federal cabinet, which grants DHA 45% of the constructed plots and CDA 55%.
A Novel Approach to the Urban Development of Islamabad
The original plan for the Kuri Model Village project called for a contemporary neighborhood with green areas, cutting-edge facilities, and basic amenities. The project, which is well situated on Jinnah Avenue, will meet the housing demand in the capital. But obstacles including land conflicts and ownership problems slowed its advancement. The project now has the groundwork to proceed effectively thanks to CDA’s land control and DHA’s vast experience in house development.

Fixing Previous Problems
Long-standing problems, like as an unfinished land swap from 2007, have also been settled by the CDA and DHA. 729 developed plots in DHA Phase 6, Block A, which will be for sale, were obtained by CDA through this deal. The money raised will go toward improving Islamabad’s infrastructure, which will benefit locals and promote urban growth.

Enhancement of the Real Estate Market in Islamabad
It is anticipated that the Kuri Model Village will draw both locals and investors, bolstering Islamabad’s real estate market. Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the chairman of the CDA, stressed that this partnership is a significant step in meeting the city’s housing needs and stimulating the economy with new housing options.
