Islamabad: Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) trade data shows that in September 2024, the country’s textile exports increased by more than 17%. Pakistan’s textile exports increased 17.6% to $1.605 billion in September 2024 from $1.364 billion in September 2023, according to data.

Following the surge, as compared to August 2024’s $1.644 billion in exports, September 2024’s textile exports decreased 2.4% month over month (MoM). In 1QFY25, textile exports were observed at $4.520 billion, up 9.3% over textile exports of $4.134 billion reported in 1QFY24. Below is a table for further insights:
Knitwear accounted for the greatest portion of textile exports in September 2024, totaling $448 million. Readymade garments came with $338 million, bed wear with $290 million, and cotton cloth stood at $201 million.
