Islamabad: At GITEX Global 2024 in Dubai, Pakistan’s IT sector made a big impression and received “Tech Destination of the Year.” At one of the biggest technology shows in the world, more than 200 Pakistani businesses, startups, and industry professionals took the stage. The IT Ministry claims that the Pakistan Pavilion at GITEX 2024 demonstrated the nation’s vibrant and quickly developing technology sector. At the ceremony, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State for IT and Telecom, praised the accomplishments of Pakistani tech companies. She stated, “This success is a testament to our country’s increasing influence as a global tech hub,” highlighting the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication’s contribution in advancing Pakistan’s IT sector globally.
Many Pakistani businesses inked significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with foreign partners during the five-day show, according to the IT Ministry. These agreements should stimulate innovation and expansion in the nation’s IT sector and lead to new partnerships with international firms. Pakistani startups and businesses found the event to be a great platform for securing finance and worldwide partnerships.
