Rawalpindi Ring Road Completion by December Boosts Qurtaba City Accessibility

In a significant development, Punjab Minister for Communication and Works, Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bherth, has urged the Rawalpindi district administration and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to ensure the timely completion of the Rawalpindi Ring Road (R3) project. This directive comes in line with the December deadline set by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

During his recent visit to the construction site, accompanied by Commissioner Aamir Khattak and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema, Minister Bherth emphasized the importance of the project’s timely completion. He was briefed on the progress, with 30% of the work already completed, including 100% of the earthwork.

The completion of the Rawalpindi Ring Road is expected to not only create job opportunities for the local population but also enhance accessibility to areas like Qurtaba City. This development is particularly promising for investors and residents of Qurtaba City, as improved connectivity will facilitate easier access to and from the area.

The minister’s visit also included an inspection of key components of the Ring Road project, such as the Khasala Interchange and Soan Bridge. Additionally, a review meeting was held to assess various development schemes in Rawalpindi, highlighting the government’s commitment to infrastructure enhancement and community development.

With ongoing efforts to prioritize road infrastructure and public services, the government aims to ensure the timely completion of all development schemes. Minister Bherth reiterated the importance of collaboration with public representatives to address any potential challenges and expedite project execution.
